Zambrano Corporation was founded in 1958 by Eugene D. Zambrano and his son Eugene Zambrano, Jr. The elder Mr. Zambrano started his construction career in Italy at the age of 14. Over the next seven years he worked as a stone mason. In 1921, Mr. Zambrano immigrated to the United States and settled in Pittsburgh where he continued working his trade while attending Carnegie Tech, now known as Carnegie-Mellon University. In 1928 he started a masonry-contracting firm which quickly grew to be the largest firm of its kind in the Pittsburgh area. Having learned as much as he could as a subcontractor for 30 years, he decided to expand his business into general contracting. Over forty years and three generations later, his dream is still growing.

In 1973 Mr. Zambrano's grandson, Eugene Zambrano III, joined the company to help his grandfather and father continue the excellence into the new millennium. At the present time he runs not only the day-to-day operations of the construction company, but also oversees all phases of the residential, commercial and industrial real estate that all three generations of his family built, own and manage.

The Zambrano's address each construction project with the "Hands-On" approach. Mr. Zambrano, III visits the job sites to make sure that their legacy lives up to the standards Mr. Zambrano, Sr. set over a half a century ago.
